Malala Yousafzai is a teen activist who wants all girls to go to school. She gets a lot of help from her dad to try to accomplish this. She and her dad created the Malala Fund. Malala was born in Migora, Pakistan on July 12, 1997. Her father ran a school and was a teacher at the school, but on 2008, Taliban took control of the city and girls could no longer go to school. On 2012, Malala spoke out for girls and their right to learn. On her way back home, she got shot on her left side of her head. In December 2014, Malala was given the Nobel Peace Prize and became the youngest person to receive one. Malala Yousafzai said, “Education is the only solution. Education first.”
Emma Gonzalez
Emma Gonzalez was a high school student. There was a shooting at her high school on February 14 and she was a survivor unlike her other 17 friends. Emma thought that there should be more rules around weapons so she created a march called, “March for our lives believes the time is now.” This action led till the voting time of the year. She started persuading people to vote This is because she believed that the person you vote for can change the world for good or bad. At the ballot area she stated,”Gun violence is on the ballot. Our lives are in the hands of the people that we elect. Vote in every election like it is your last, because it very well could be.” This has inspired people before, and till this day it does.
Betty Shabazz
Betty Shabazz became a political activist after the assassination of her husband in 1965. Betty Shabazz was neglected by her parents so later on had been placed as a foster child with her foster parents. When she got older she was being seperated by her skin color. Her foster parents has encouraged her to protest with the other people that thought that they should not be separated by their skin color. She has gotten to participate in multiple marches and boycotts. One of the boycotts she has been participating in was at a shop that would not allow African Americans. After all of the work she has been working towards she has gotten a good education and a masters degree in public health administration.
BTS
The BTS group members created the song called “Love Myself”, which the actual meaning is the love that we should share with one another. They created this song to help children and teens exposed to violence. They created a campaign to end violence and to help others. BTS joined hands with the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) to stage campaigns against violence toward children and teens around the world, with the hope of making the world a better place through music. Help them end violence. People have been donating to this cause just to help others.
